In five days a week, it happens only in one day. A break from the lousy uniform and hello to the mix and matches of tees, blouses, pants and footwear. BulSUans' life will never be complete without this day of immunity where they can flaunt what’s in their wardrobes and unveil their fashion senses.
Though still wearing with some restrictions for the sake of decency, these fashionistas still manage to enjoy this special day and get to pick out their best outfits that suit their personality and view. Every BulSuan celebrates this day- the Wednesday washday.

Boys are typically just on the simplicity zone with in terms to dressing up. Actually, they even give more attention to their hairdos more than with what they want to wear. With just one comfortable outfit, they're good to go.
Meet Christian Balagtas, a first year BIT- Mechanical Technology student who represents the usual attire of the school guys.
“Madalas ko talaga piliin ay ‘yung mga favorite ko na t-shirt habang naka maong pantalon tapos converse na sapatos, pero minsan nagpo-polo shirt ako, naka black pants at leather na shoes.” Christian explained.
He survives Wednesday Washdays with just a simple look which he explains represent his whole identity.
“Ang pagporma ko, itinatama ko din ayon sa itsura ko, kung susunod ako sa uso tapos hndi rin pla bagay sakin. Kaya madalas simple lang ang porma ko.”
He added that aside from what his mood is, comfort is also on his top priority in dressing up.

Girls are known for being careful and conscious on how they look. They tend to lay several time in front of a whole body mirror to satisfy their look on washdays.
According to JoJenn Mae S. Tullao, a sophomore student of BTTE-FSM, it solely depends on the individual's taste in deciding what clothes to wear on a Wednesday Washday.
"Kapag wash day, sarili nating gusto kung ano isusuot natin."
JoJenn said that as much as she is a fan of mixing and matching, she likes to keep only one printed piece on her outfit during washday.
"Minsan ‘yung pambaba ko ‘yung may design tapos sa top ‘yung plain lang kasi ang panget tingnan kapag parehas na printed ‘yung damit mo o kaya minsan t-shirt at high-waisted pants." she said.
As BulSu has strict rules when it comes to dressing up, JoJenn said that she likes covering up her daring clothes with a piece of chaleco to look decent and to be able to follow the rules.
"Syempre, kailngan ko pa ring sumunod sa regulations dito, ‘yung ‘wag masyadong daring, ‘wag masyadong bold tingnan kaya nagsusuot ako ng sexy outfits pero nilalagyan ko ng chaleco para decent tingnan." JoJenn stated.

Of course, it is not just about the male and female at all. There are individuals who has a free spirit that flaunt their fabulousness during this day.
Just like Antonio Mallari, BSBA third year and is part of the LGTB group, who expresses his favor in a uniform-free BulSu.
"Well ofcourse magandang walang uniform 'cause you can freely choose what you want to wear. Aside from the fact na pwede ka um-OOTD at i-express ‘yung fashion statement mo, mapipili mo ‘yung gusto mong isuot. Parang kunwari umuulan pwede kang mag sweater, long sleeves, tsinelas tas ‘pag summer naman pwedeng tsinelas shorts at maluwag na damit. Walang limit yung pagsusuot mo ng damit kesa sa uniform."
Antonio shared 3 major things he considers in dressing up during Wednesday Washday; the weather, the matching of designs, his fashion statement which is usually shorts, and lastly, the availability of the clothes.
"One factor ng pagpili ko ng susuotin is yung weather condition. Second siguro yung matching ng designs or yung sinasabi nating OOTD. Third is yung fashion statement ko na mostly kasi shorts, ayoko na magpants kasi mainit kaya isa sa factor ko ‘yun. Last is yung availability nung damit." he stated.
According to Antonio, buying new clothes all the time is a struggle, but he still manages to be on trend as he always has a mindset that he can buy clothes that are in style.
"Parang gusto ko nasa uso pero hindi kaya kasi hindi naman ako laging nakakabili ng damit pero at the same time every year I look to it na makabili nung in style na damit."
He ended by saying that on Wednesday Washday, you should always "Walk like you're on the runway".
Blues and hues, every BulSuan have different tastes when it comes to dressing up, but one thing's for sure- they are all united every Wednesday Washday, as in this day, they can show that each and everyone has style and by this they can express how they see, think and feel.
